The static level is what misleads people

The static level is where the water sits with the borehole at rest. The dynamic level is where it settles with the pump running — always deeper, sometimes much deeper.

A pump sized to the static level looks correct on paper. As soon as irrigation starts the level drops, the real head grows and the pump works off its efficient range. It draws more current, runs hotter and lasts less.

Recovering a pump is not just pulling it out

A borehole column that has been down for years does not always come up willingly. Sand, scale and a seized check valve turn a routine job into a difficult one — which is why we bring our own crane rather than hire one and hope.

What we ask before quoting

  • Borehole depth, diameter and casing;
  • static and, if known, dynamic level;
  • flow required and where the water has to reach;
  • available power supply — single or three phase, and how far away.

If you do not have these figures, we go and measure them. That visit is what separates a proposal from a guess.
